Juku tutor studying together with two children in Hannover

Proven learning support combined with real help settling in.

This is our mission: to open up educational opportunities for children and young people and help them show what they are capable of – no matter where they come from.

Together with our tutors we support students in their learning, help with homework and prepare them for exams. We link learning support with help settling in and build up each student's confidence. On top of that we stand by the whole family, so that not only school hurdles but also bureaucratic ones can be cleared together.

More than tutoring

We stand by the whole family

Our support does not stop at the classroom door. Together with children and parents we find solutions that fit.

Multilingual tutors

Our multilingual tutors make communication easy and create a learning environment where children and parents feel at ease.

Help with the BuT application

If you are eligible, tutoring is funded through the education and participation package (BuT). We guide parents through the application and every step that follows.

CHECK YOUR BUT ELIGIBILITY

Will the state pay for the tutoring? Three questions are enough.

Many families do not know that they are entitled to funded learning support through the German education and participation package (BuT). This quick check takes less than a minute – no sign-up needed.

Question 1/3

Does your family receive any of these benefits?

It is enough if one person in your household receives the benefit.

This is a non-binding estimate. Only the Jobcenter or Region Hannover can decide on your entitlement.

Learning on your terms

Where do the lessons take place?

Depending on what you need and what we agree together, you have several options.

At your home

If you prefer, lessons take place in the familiar surroundings of your own home.

At our rooms in Hannover

As an alternative, lessons can also take place in our rooms in Hannover.

Online

For extra flexibility, lessons can be held online whenever that suits you better.

Winner of the Deutsche Bahn Foundation Award for voluntary work in education

I completed my degree in economics with a master's. I have been working in tutoring for more than eight years, and along the way I saw how much it matters that every young person finds the kind of support that fits them.

With Juku we want to make school success available to everyone and give every child the chance to show their best side. For me education is the key to the future, and I am glad to build something positive for students together with our team.

Winner of the Lower Saxony Science Award 2023 in education and science

I started tutoring while I was still at university, and that is when I saw how many children need this kind of support to reach their goals at school. That is where the idea for Juku came from.

I am especially proud of receiving the Science Award in education and science. Through Juku I want students to get the best possible support as they develop, and the education they deserve. Our goal is for every child to be able to learn and grow through individual attention.
